Respiratory Therapist I

The Registered Respiratory Therapy Practitioner I provides optimum respiratory care for patients with respiratory disorders and performs therapy as ordered by the physician in accordance with current departmental policies

• Provides optimum respiratory care for patients with respiratory disorders
• Performs therapy as ordered by the physician in accordance with current departmental policies
• Acts as relief shift supervisor when required
• Maintains department productivity levels by monitoring workloads throughout the shift

• Completed internship in acute care facility including NICU and infant deliveries
• Graduate of a two year American Medical Association approved Respiratory Therapy Program
• Passed the written Registry Examination and the clinical simulation exam provided by the NBRC and received their RRT credential
• Current CA License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Certified in CPR (may also obtain up to three months after hire)
