Software Engineering IC3

As a Software Engineer II in the team, you will be directly impacting billions of Microsoft users. Our mission is to provide relevant, personalized, safe, quality, and engaging content to the users who utilize our product. You'll work on cutting-edge technologies, tackling challenges in scalability, security and performance. We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer with a solid technical background to help build and improve our service platforms.

• Design and develop distributed software systems that are reliable, scalable, and performant
• Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to deliver impactful features and improvements
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code, and participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed
• Help identify and resolve production issues, and continuously improve the performance and reliability of our systems
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet business goals
• Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
• Experience with large scale, high availability services with a background in reliability, scalability and performance
