About the role

The Accountant role support the Revenue Accounting & Settlement Team and is responsible for the accounting related to Accounts Receivable and various Revenue streams. This role will collaborate with various partners to identify processes and areas for improvement, supporting internal and external audit processes while ensuring proper documentation is provided to auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month end close tasks that may include posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and managing asset creation and retirement processes on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, and auditors
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies between planned and actual financial performance
  • Analyzes financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and prepare forecasts to support financial planning
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant financial information.
  • Support the annual audit process, including ensuring financial transactions are substantiated with proper documentation for auditing purposes
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders in accordance with GAAP and Company policy
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and transformation that will provide value within the organization
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Requirements

  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Skilled in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint presentations, and trainable on company-specific systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbally, information and ideas using all forms of communication, learning to adjust tone, style, and content to meet the audience’s needs
  • Ability to develop relationships and build trust with Team Members and Customers
  • Ability to articulate how research and analysis were performed in preparing analytics in support of financial reporting
  • Ability to create financial spreadsheets, charts, and reports that contain relevant accounting and financial performance data with some supervision and guidance
  • Skilled in identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop solutions
  • Ability to establish personal best practices to manage responsibilities
  • Skilled in asking insightful questions and listening to understand all perspectives with a solid understanding of Business impacts
