About the role
DSHS FTAA IT Data Management Senior/Specialist
Responsibilities
- Design and manage ETL solutions across on-premises and cloud environments to support enterprise data integration
- Develop and maintain pipelines and SQL-based transformations for fact and dimension models
- Build and optimize Power BI semantic models to deliver scalable and reusable reporting datasets
- Create and maintain database objects such as stored procedures, views, and functions to support complex business needs
- Implement and document data architecture through ERDs and metadata to ensure consistency and transparency
- Collaborate across programs and state agencies to ensure data alignment and interoperability
- Monitor, test, and troubleshoot data flows to maintain performance, reliability, and accuracy
- Apply data governance, privacy, and security standards in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Utilize Azure DevOps for version control, deployment pipelines, documentation, and sprint-based project tracking
- Provide technical guidance and promote best practices in enterprise data management and integration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree including 9 semester or 15 quarter hours of computer science courses and 7 years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in information technology analysis, system maintenance, or troubleshooting/problem resolution experience, or analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems applications or databases
- 11 years of consultative, administrative, or supervisor experience in information technology analysis, system maintenance, or troubleshooting/problem resolution experience, or analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems applications or databases
- A Master’s degree will substitute for one year of the required experience
