Special Education Teacher

A K-12 school in Tuskegee, AL, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a contract position during the current school year (CSY).

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with behavioral needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to meet each student's unique goals.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and behavioral interventions.
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and school staff to support student development.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with behavioral challenges.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create supportive learning environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators, support staff, and families.
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education laws.
