Our team is focused on ensuring that Windows users at home, work, and school find it easy to discover and engage with the experiences they need most and that Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) are excited to build Windows experiences because they can innovate, differentiate, and exceed their business goals on Windows.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable design specifications.
  • Independently design, implement, and maintain features and services with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Break down complex work into manageable tasks and provide accurate estimates for delivery.
  • Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for critical services, leading incident response and driving root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and help evolve the system design to meet future scalability and reliability goals.
  • Drive improvements in engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Stay current with industry trends and apply new technologies and practices to improve the product and development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Understanding of Windows app ecosystem or experience in Windows Programming WinRT/COM with solid understanding of the Windows architecture.
  • Proficiency in full-stack development, including both frontend (e.g., React, xmal, Java, JavaScript) and backend (e.g., .NET, or Azure-based services).
  • Proficient problem solving and debugging skills.
