Registered Nurse 2 (RN2) MOUD - Olympia

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is looking for Registered Nurse 2 to support statewide Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) services within DCYF Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR).

• Perform nursing assessments and screenings for MOUD eligibility
• Administer or oversee MOUD medications
• Provide education to youth on substance use, overdose prevention, and harm reduction
• Coordinate with MOUD provider(s) for initiation, maintenance, and treatment planning
• Develop and implement standardized MOUD nursing procedures across JR facilities
• Train facility nursing staff on MOUD protocols and best practices
• Serve as subject matter resource for MOUD within DCYF JR
• Participate in chart reviews and audits for MOUD quality assurance

• Professionals who hold a valid Washington State license to practice as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
• One year of professional nursing experience
• A minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health, substance use, or correctional healthcare setting with knowledge of substance use disorders, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and trauma-informed care principles
