About the role
Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas. In addition to these duties, assists the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical, and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood and Barrier Isolator; types labels, prepares and files charge slips among other related duties. Under the direction of a pharmacist, performs pharmacy-related functions in compliance with hospital and department policies and procedures, working to provide optimal care. Provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist, supporting pharmacists and providing safe and accurate medication services to support all those involved in direct patient care. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Executes foundational pharmacy technician duties with proficiency in standard workflows, hospital systems, and pharmacy operational programs under pharmacist supervision. Demonstrates competency in foundational services such as medication dispensing, preparation, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
- High School Grad or Equiv
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT-LIC)
