About the role
The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is seeking an Administrative Regulations Analyst 4 to join our Rulemaking Program team.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and explain complex laws and regulations so they are clear, precise, and accessible to diverse audiences.
- Lead the development, amendment, and implementation of workplace safety and health rules.
- Translate technical and legal language into plain talk that workers, employers, and stakeholders can easily understand.
- Manage rulemaking projects and legislative analyses, including drafting bill reports and fiscal notes.
- Collaborate with executives, colleagues, and external stakeholders, including the public, through presentations, hearings, and outreach.
- Balance multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities while ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field
- Five years of demonstrated experience in at least two of the following: Researching and analyzing policies, laws, or regulations, Business analysis and developing requirements, Leading business projects, Managing business operations, Business policy development
