About the role
Do you want to be part of a team which delivers innovative products and machine learning solutions across Microsoft to hundreds of millions of users every month? Microsoft Search Relevance team is at the forefront of the core copilot experiences across Microsoft products including Copilot Chat and Search accelerating productivity to help users find the right information in their organization.
Responsibilities
- Drive projects from design through conception, implementation, experimentation and finally shipping to our users.
- Manage applied scientists, assigning tasks, closely mentoring or guiding them, taking responsibility for their outcome / growth & overall output.
- Document processes and progress of the team members, share findings to promote innovation.
- Review business and product requirements, incorporate research, and provide strategic direction for problem solving.
- Collaborate with platform partners, other science teams and product owners across time zones, creating alignment in the partnership and unblocking the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
- OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
- OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research).
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of people management experience.
- Prior experience with data analysis against large-scale systems.
- Prior experience with information retrieval.
- Prior experience working in a cross functional and collaborative environment.
