Highway Maintenance Worker 2 - (Multiple Positions) Non-Permanent
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day highway maintenance and repair
- Operate and haul materials with trucks and highway equipment
- Remove litter, debris, and hazards from the roadway and right-of-way
- Conduct snow and ice control operations
- Respond to emergencies by setting up traffic control, assisting with closures, and acting as a first responder at accidents or spills
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on equipment, tools, and vehicles
- Document and report daily work activities while accounting for materials and inventory
- Lead and train crew members in the absence of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3
- Assign tasks and provide instruction
Requirements
- Highway Maintenance and Equipment Operation
- Commercial Driver’s Licensing (CDL) Proficiency
- Traffic Control and Safety Certification
