L&I Program Specialist 3

Responsibilities

  • Analyze documents submitted by Program sponsors for completeness and accuracy and compliance with RCW 49.04.305 and WAC 296-05-025.
  • Provide information and technical assistance to programs utilizing the requirements in RCW 49.04.305 and WAC 296-05-025.
  • Analyze data, identify problems, program needs, and provide consultation to management, stakeholders, and the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council (WSATC).
  • Provide information and technical assistance in developing and establishing procedures and policies related to implementation and continued monitoring of RCW 49.04.305 and WAC 296-05-025 and its requirements.
  • Conduct and assist the Compliance Specialist with statewide investigations, recommends corrective action when needed.
  • Provide consultation and technical assistance on best practices when requested by internal and external partners.
  • Provide technical support in the development and provide education and training to program staff, external sponsors and their staff on compliance requirements for WAC 296-05-025.
  • Provide Technical assistance in the quarterly review process regarding attestations, annual notifications, and other requirements related to RCW 49.04.305 and WAC 296-05-025
  • Review and prepare all documentation for analysis, action, and recommendations during all external review meetings, including but not limited to: Compliance Technical Review Team, the WSATC’s Compliance Review and Retention Subcommittee (CRRS), and the WSATC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or completion of a 4-year registered apprenticeship.
  • Two years of experience including planning, policy analysis, coordination and consultation with a variety of public and private agencies, organizations, and/or levels of government.
