About the role
Job Summary: This position is for an Athletic Trainer within a fast-paced, hospital-based, Outpatient Physician Clinic. Under general supervision of a Physician and in compliance with legal aspects of patient care activities and guidelines that impact practice, and according to established policies and procedures, develops and administers established treatment plans for physician clinic patients. In collaboration with the Physician, develops exercise programs and assesses patient progress through the program.
Responsibilities
- Develops and administers established treatment plans for physician clinic patients
- Assesses patient progress through the program
- Performs clinical intake, medical history review, patient discharge, medication review
- Provides appropriate assessment/documentation of patient progress and performs patient billing procedures
- Instructs and prepares patients for treatment and reports patients progress to Physician
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited Athletic Trainer Certified Program
- Current NATA Board of Certification Inc. certification
- License to practice as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Michigan
- Three years of experience in a clinical setting
