Teacher Assistant | Chicago, Illinois

A dedicated and compassionate paraprofessional is needed to support K-12 students in a Chicago, IL school. This contract position, covering the current school year, offers the opportunity to contribute directly to student growth by working alongside teachers, therapists, and administrators in a collaborative educational environment.

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and learning activities.
• Provide individualized or small-group support tailored to students' needs.
• Support students with behavioral and social-emotional challenges.
• Aid with daily living skills or mobility assistance as required.
• Document and report on student progress to supervising staff.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.

• High school diploma or equivalent; some districts may require an Associate’s degree or higher.
• Illinois ISBE Para Educator License or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
• Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a te am.
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
