School Occupational Therapist

A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available at an elementary school in Chicago, IL, for the current school year through Thanksgiving Break. This contract role focuses on supporting students to actively participate in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills.

• Ensuring students can engage alongside their peers by supporting essential developmental areas
• Modifying tasks and environments to accommodate individual student needs
• Performing diagnostic and evaluation testing to assess student capabilities
• Delivering clear, comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations
• Developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues to monitor progress and discuss areas for support

• Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state OT license
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills to address diverse student needs
