Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret legal agreements to ensure accurate account setup.
  • Set up accounts in billing systems, entering all required information, formulas, and calculations for various deductible and self-insured plan types.
  • Produce installment, paid loss, and valuation billings, along with specialized reports, in accordance with billing schedules.
  • Extract claim data from loss systems to support billing exhibits.
  • Reconcile and balance assigned accounts, apply payments, research discrepancies, and process return checks.
  • Manage collections on assigned accounts, resolving disputes and payment issues by collaborating with business partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to improve cash flow processes.
  • Achieve and maintain established productivity and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Prior experience in TPA or commercial insurance billing preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to balance accuracy with timeliness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, “outside-the-box” thinker who challenges the status quo and drives process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven track record of identifying gaps in processes, recommending solutions, and following through to resolution.
  • Strong collaboration skills to build and maintain business partnerships.
  • Ability to appropriately escalate concerns that may impact deadlines or deliverables.
