About the role
The Applications Analyst II is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing software applications critical to organizational operations. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, troubleshooting application issues, configuring system settings, and performing system upgrades and enhancements. The Applications Analyst II plays a key role in ensuring that software solutions align with business needs, documenting processes, and providing training for end users. Additionally, the role requires expertise in integration projects, particularly with HL7 specifications, and active participation in improving system performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Performs in-depth analysis of data workflow requirements, leading to the building, testing, and validation of interface projects, ensuring efficient and accurate information exchange.
- Collaborates with Market functional areas and IT teams to align application functionality with organizational objectives and ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in system integrations, working with internal and external systems to ensure interfaces meet expected performance and clinical workflow automation goals.
- Troubleshoots interface and application issues, providing prompt resolution and support for integrated applications within and outside the organization.
- Develops and maintains thorough documentation for interface support work, system changes, and change management processes.
- Conducts daily maintenance functions for interfaces and engines, ensuring system reliability and addressing potential issues proactively.
- Reviews, analyzes, and reports on the effectiveness of existing systems, proposing and implementing testing strategies for improvement and optimization.
- Fields incoming help desk tickets from end users to resolve application and software integration issues, communicating resolutions clearly and effectively.
- Translates interface requirements into technical HL7 specifications in collaboration with Application Analysts, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Manages multiple projects concurrently, developing actionable strategies and resources for project completion, while escalating issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex application and integration challenges.
- Proficiency in data analysis, workflow documentation, and system configuration.
- Knowledge of HL7 messaging standards and integration engine tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining documentation accuracy.
