Senior Software Engineer, BigQuery Metadata

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another

• Design and implement algorithms to automatically update the physical shape of stored data
• Design and implement tests and experiments to evaluate and monitor the performance of the system
• Coordinate with product engineers in all parts of the software stack

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
• Experience in the following areas: Storage Systems, Databases, SQL, Data Analytics
