Special Ed Teacher - Chicago, Illinois

This contract position offers an opportunity to serve as a Middle School Special Education Co-Teacher from November through February. This role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic middle school environment.

• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide tailored instruction and support to middle school students with special education needs
• Assist in classroom management and foster an inclusive learning environment
• Monitor student progress and modify instructional strategies as necessary
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote academic and social growth
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to curriculum development relevant to special education

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and co-teach effectively
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student success
