About the role
Job Description: Engage in planning and tactical implementation of data analytic activities, ensuring alignment with pharmacy business goals. Engage in strategic planning and tactical implementation of data analytic activities. Consult leadership on the development of the pharmacy data analytics strategy and technical roadmap, and develop analytical models and support tools across functions of the organization. Oversee the preparation and technical review of reports and analyses, ensuring data accuracy and interpretability. Establish departmental metrics to support project goals and develop improvement plans, including technical proficiency standards for the analytics team. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior level management across pharmacy, finance, strategy and other departments, translating complex technical insights into actionable business strategies. Manage activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives, with a focus on developing both deep business knowledge and advanced technical skills within the team. Lead a team to develop prescriptive, predictive, and inferential analytical tools to drive organizational efficiencies and sustainability, improve decision making, and further analytical service offering to internal and external customers. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to analysts on data engineering, statistical modeling, and the use of clinical and electronic health record (EHR) data.

Requirements
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Additional Preferences: Proven experience leading a technical team.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) data structures.
- Technical proficiency in SQL and data visualization software.
- Preferred: Experience working for a major EHR vendor (e.g., Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health) or within a large healthcare system.
