About the role
The Manager, Technical Services (3rd Shift) is responsible for maintaining strategic and daily operational plans for Rides & Attractions within the Technical Services Department.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining strategic and daily operational plans for Rides & Attractions
- Providing technical guidance for all attractions under his or her area of responsibility
- Ensuring all Ride & Attraction equipment maintains the highest level of safety
- Coordinating and assigning technicians to set up, install, repair, and maintain equipment
- Maintaining a documentation system for all attractions and ensuring daily reports are completed
- Providing technical oversight duties and taking on technical responsibilities in the absence of technical support personnel
- Overseeing technical interaction with Attraction Responsible Engineers, Vendors, Sub-contractors, and other relevant parties
- Enforcing Ride & Attraction technical principles to provide a quality product and necessary deliverables to customers
- Supporting and advising Rides & Attractions Assistant Managers and the Rides Senior Director on how best to achieve this goal
- Developing and implementing action plans for the department's future successes
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 5-7 years of day-to-day operation of a theme park, theatre, or related business
- 3-5 years of operations management/team leadership experience
