Responsibilities
- Defines and leads Network wide initiatives; develops/nurtures joint venture relationships; champion for overall business objectives as related to practice lab services/operations.
- Lead integration of new practices into the lab service line, ensuring operational alignment and continuity.
- Stays updated on relevant regulatory changes that impact lab services and provides guidance on federal regulations regarding laboratory operations, licensing, and compliance requirements, as needed.
- Conducts productivity and comprehensive business assessments; provide actionable strategies to enhance profitability and advise on staffing models, as needed.
- Oversees development/implementation of appropriate training of laboratory personnel for the network. Provides development and mentoring for US Oncology Lab Managers, and other staff as needed.
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Revenue Cycle, and IT to implement strategic initiatives and improve workflows.
- Oversee development and implementation of an NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) toolkit to support precision oncology.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in laboratory operations, molecular diagnostics, or precision medicine.
- Experience with CAP, CLIA, and COLA accreditation standards and compliance.
- Oncology experience required, ideally in a physician-owned lab or non-acute setting.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, business analysis, and operational improvement.
- Strong understanding of NGS technologies and clinical applications.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and executive presence skills.
