About the role
Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Manager of Prospect Research is responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of comprehensive prospect research and pipeline management initiatives. Conduct prospect research, create, identify and update biographical profiles of key prospects from all donor constituencies and provide in depth research on individuals and organizations to evaluate their connections, interests, and potential contributions to the Ascension Philanthropy Services organizations, generating detailed profiles for major gift officers and foundation leaders that lead to philanthropic support.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Manager of Prospect Research is responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of comprehensive prospect research and pipeline management initiatives.
- Conduct prospect research, create, identify and update biographical profiles of key prospects from all donor constituencies and provide in depth research on individuals and organizations to evaluate their connections, interests, and potential contributions to the Ascension Philanthropy Services organizations, generating detailed profiles for major gift officers and foundation leaders that lead to philanthropic support.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Key Attributes: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience and progressive responsibility in fundraising operations management, with a strong grasp of and commitment to best practices in prospect research, donor data management, and/or pipeline development.
