Creative Developer, Media Technology & Tools Design

The Creative Developer, Media Technology & Tools Design role is focused on empowering creatives with amazing tools to automate repetitive tasks at international scale, and to create new deliverables never thought possible from different image and video sources for Apple Media Products (Apple TV App, Apple Music, App Store, Podcasts and Apple Books).

• Empower creatives with amazing tools to automate repetitive tasks at international scale
• Create new deliverables never thought possible from different image and video sources
• Build web and native macOS Apps to create efficiencies in production design processes
• Automate artwork at a large scale
• Develop Photoshop and After Effects scripts, Sketch plugins and macOS services
• Prototype solutions for artwork systems in the context of Apple Media Products Services UI
• Maintain new and existing software, and distribute new releases
• Collaborate to create and maintain documentation for new and existing apps and tools
• Be available to support questions from team members, and take feedback on bugs and enhancements

• Some college-level education, or higher
• Experience in at least one server side technology, such as NodeJS or Python
• Experience using modern web frameworks, such as React
• Experience using REST APIs with JSON, and a high-level understanding of how HTTP works
• Experience with Git and using GitHub to maintain well organized code repositories and releases
• Experience and proficiency working and automating art with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and After Effects
• Comfort working together with many Design teams as well as Engineering team disciplines
