Machine Learning Engineer

The Applied Sensing & Health team delivers Safety/Fitness/Health features for Apple Watch, iPhones, and other Apple products. We are looking for an ML engineer who cares deeply about their craft to join our team.

• Designing and implementing models and algorithms for Safety, Health, and Fitness use cases
• Driving failure analysis and providing interpretable insights
• Optimizing implementations for power, memory, and performance
• Coordinating closely with multi-disciplinary teams across the company

• MS or PhD in quantitative modeling and data science discipline (machine learning, statistics/biostatistics, epidemiology)
• Strong background in developing machine learning and/or deep learning models, preferably with time series data
• Experience in defining hypotheses, design of experiments, testing, and proving hypotheses
• Experience implementing prototypes in Python and/or MATLAB, assessing performance, and doing failure analysis
