About the role
The Junior Project Manager will support senior project managers and program leadership in delivering planning, design, and construction projects across the Capitol Campus and other DES-managed facilities
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine site visits, inspections, and oversight of active and assigned construction projects
- Review and provide feedback on plans, schedules, estimates, and specifications
- Attend and participate in construction kick-off and progress meetings
- Evaluate contractor submittals, respond to requests for information, and assist with punch lists, warranty claims, and project closeout activities
Requirements
- 5 years of professional experience that demonstrates competency in architecture, engineering, or construction management
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, government officials, stakeholders, and the public
