About the role
Deliver individualized and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting lessons to meet their unique communication and learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
- Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, including sign language, auditory-verbal methods, and assistive technology
Requirements
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
- Proficiency in sign language and other communication methods used by DHH students
