Volunteer Transportation Office Program Coordinator (PC) - Spokane Central

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, training, and scheduling volunteer drivers
  • Maintain, support, and provide schedules to drivers on a weekly basis
  • Assist in resolving transportation issues
  • Maintain office procedures, standards, priorities, and deadlines while coordinating office operations
  • Assist in the transportation of children who have open cases with DCYF’s child welfare programs
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for new volunteer drivers and process requests and necessary paperwork for new and changed drivers
  • Review documents and records/driver logs for accuracy and compliance with rules
  • Assist in resolving any issues with volunteer drivers’ reimbursements
  • Complete all required paperwork and computer documentation
  • Ensure each volunteer driver has valid car insurance on record every 6 months
  • Complete a yearly inspection of all volunteer drivers’ vehicles
  • Research files, documents, and other sources to obtain or clarify information
  • Develop, evaluate, and/or revise forms for internal use
  • Enter legal information for DCYF open cases into FAMLINK
  • Create service packets for court-involved cases and facilitate service to the parents for those located outside the state of Washington, outside of Spokane County, or currently incarcerated
  • Travel to the courthouse to submit legal documents and pick up packets
  • Upload all relevant documents into the family file in FAMLINK
  • Email or distribute documents to appropriate parties
  • Provides support services, including supervision of children who are awaiting placement on open cases and/or need supervision while parents attend an on-site meeting
  • Assist social workers and drivers if an accident occurs by ensuring proper protocol
  • Maintain inventory of CASA/My Bags and My Box Program
  • Organize and implement the School Backpack giveaway program
  • Maintain inventory for the clothing closet and the Spokane Central office
  • Maintain scheduling and cleaning of office visitation rooms

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in recruitment, training, and scheduling volunteer drivers
  • Equivalent of education and experience totaling two years
  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience and proficiency in operating a computer and keyboard
  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience and proficiency in using Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience in composing, sending, and responding to electronic mail and email programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate and comprehend (through oral and written forms of communication) with management, peers, clients, community colleges, and the public in a respectful and efficient manner
