School-Based Registered Nurse (RN)

A healthcare professional is sought to provide dedicated nursing support to a 4-year-old student within an elementary school setting in Somonauk, IL. This contract position runs through the current school year (CSY) and involves one-on-one care tailored to meet the individual needs of the student. Key Responsibilities: Deliver attentive nursing care including tracheostomy maintenance and monitoring Assist with feeding and toileting as required to ensure comfort and safety Support the student during school hours from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM Accompany the student on the bus to and from school, ensuring continuous care throughout transit Qualifications and Experience: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential required Proven experience with tracheostomy care, demonstrating competency and confidence in this specialized area Ability to manage feeding and toileting needs sensitively and professionally Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with school staff and family Location: Elementary school setting located in Somonauk, IL This role offers a unique opportunity to impact a young student’s educational experience profoundly by providing essential health support in a school environment.
