Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration. Provides support and serves as a resource for other. The value you'll bring to the team: Gathers necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information from patients and enters it into the appropriate database. Seeks appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date, or location of prescribed procedures. Schedules patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources. Coordinates and communicates schedules with patients and clinical staff. Assists with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification and authorization. Provides counseling to patients, participants, or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions. Ensures accurate and timely entry of patient information into the system. Communicates effectively with patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers to facilitate smooth scheduling and authorization processes. Mains up-to-date knowledge of insurance requirements and pre-certification processes. Addresses and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to patient scheduling and insurance authorization. Supports the clinical team in managing patient flow and optimizing resource utilization. Other duties as assigned.
