CORRECTIONS SPECIALIST 4 - Graduated Reentry Screening Unit (WFSE Internal Transfer Only)

The Community Corrections Division has a permanent, full-time Corrections Specialist 4 (CS4) opening. This position, SI18, is within the Graduated Reentry Screening Unit, which is located in the Yakima Field Office, in Yakima, WA.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule.

• Assess cases for partial confinement
• Develop or approve Custody Facility Plans
• Make recommendations for promotion and demotion of custody levels

• Four (4) years experience as a Community Corrections Officer, Correctional Specialist or Classification Counselor
• Bachelor’s degree from a college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the US Department of Education
• Equivalent combination of qualifying experience and education totaling seven (7) years
