Emulation Engineer II

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission

• As an Emulation Engineer II in the Data Processing Unit team you will be emulating silicon to solve complex problems in a datacenter
• Interact with the architecture, hardware, software QA and platform teams to co-develop a programmable silicon implementation
• Solve complex engineering problems utilizing your experience and providing you with the perfect platform to shine and grow to the next stage in your career

• 2+ years of experience in Application Specific integrated circuit (ASIC)/ System on Chip (SoC) emulation verification with System Verilog (SV)/Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) environments using any Standard Emulator (Palladium, Protium)
• 2+ years of experience with Python or Perl scripting, including developing systems from scratch

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
• Ability to write and debug RTL test cases for feature-specific scenarios
• Background with Jenkins CI systems, software development practices, and Git
• Communication and teamwork skills, with interest in taking on a variety of challenges
• Experience with emulation flows using tools such as Palladium, Protium, Zebu, or Veloce
• Familiarity with SpeedBridges and Virtual Transactors
• Familiarity with Xilinx UltraScale+ and Vivado toolchains
