Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Tech

The Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Tech, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs delegated duties, tasks and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital. In addition, Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Tech assists in supervising the activities of the pharmacy department's team of Pharmacy Technicians and assists in the maintenance of the pharmacy's operations.

• executes expert-level pharmacy technician duties with mastery across all core and advanced workflows, systems, and operational programs
• leads strategic quality improvement, education, and practice advancement projects in assigned areas
• participates in research or innovation efforts
• represents pharmacy in committees, shared governance, and enterprise initiatives
• champions innovation and continuous professional growth
• mentors pharmacy technicians and supports onboarding, competency validation, and peer development
• provides training and guidance on purchasing systems, inventory workflows, and regulatory documentation practices

• High School Grad or Equiv
• 3 Work Experience Required
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT-LIC)
• State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
• PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT - PTCB)
• NHA Pharmacy Technician (CPHT - NHA)
