Special Ed Teacher

A K-12 Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Dearborn, MI, offering a contract position for the current school year. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities, supporting their educational development within a dynamic school environment.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Adapt general education curriculum to meet the specific needs and capabilities of students.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment promoting social and academic growth.
• Comply with all state and federal special education regulations and policies.

• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with a diverse student population across K-12 grade levels.
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction methods and special education best practices.
