About the role
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position serves a K-12 special education cooperative in the Joliet, IL area for the 2025/2026 school year.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary and junior high students on the Autism spectrum
- Manage caseloads of approximately 35 students distributed among three schools
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement effective speech and language interventions
Requirements
- Valid SLP Certification with school-based experience
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) highly preferred
- Experience working with students on the Autism spectrum
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain detailed documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a school setting
