About the role
The Department of Children, Youth, and Families is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 (AA1) to join our team
Responsibilities
- Provides reception duties for DCYF
- Screen calls and visitors
- Answers a multi-line phone system in a fast-paced environment
- Greets clients, providers, and staff
- Maintains office procedures, standards, priorities, and deadlines while coordinating office operations
- Applies knowledge of various DCYF regulations, rules, policies, and procedures
- Provides internal and external customer service to a diverse population
- Creates, edits, and reviews correspondence
- Maintains court calendars
- Troubleshoots standard office equipment
- Provides dual language translation services
- Data Entry into FamLink, Excel, Background Checks, and other programs
- Uploads court orders
- Processes Background Checks, Disclosure, and Discovery Requests
- Handles Birth Certificate and Social Security Number requests
- Maintains electronic files and/or logging systems for databases
- Provides back-up to other Administrative Assistant staff
Requirements
- One year of increasingly responsible office experience requiring keyboarding or typing
