About the role
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school in Waterford, MI, supporting students in grades K-5. This contract position begins ASAP and runs through May 29, 2026, working 37.5 hours per week. The caseload consists of approximately 52 students, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in early childhood speech and language development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for K-5 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication needs
- Utilize teletherapy methods when appropriate to maintain consistent therapy services
Requirements
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, especially within schools or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy services is a plus
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively in a school environment
