Head of Global Defense Strategy, AWS Global Defense

AWS Global Defense is seeking a senior strategy & operations leader to drive strategic initiatives, business operations, and growth for our global defense business.

• Lead strategic planning and execution for AWS Global Defense
• Establish and drive mission-critical initiatives across priority initiatives and programs
• Orchestrate cross-functional alignment across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Policy, Strategy, and Professional Service teams
• Develop and maintain executive-level initiatives, including Board of Directors materials, CEO briefings, and strategic frameworks
• Lead organizational effectiveness initiatives, including team engagement, operational excellence, and business cadence management
• Own strategic response development for market segment-critical issues
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships across AWS senior leadership, federal customers, and strategic partners

• 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
• 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
• 7+ years of professional or military experience
• Experience writing technical articles, speaking at technology conferences, and contributing to open source
• Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope
• 15+ years of experience in technology strategy, federal consulting, or defense industry roles
