5th Grade Special Education Teacher

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support 5th-grade students in an elementary school setting serving K-8 grades in Philadelphia, PA. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 12 and focuses on a caseload with a mix of behavioral and emotional disabilities. Instruction is delivered through a push-in/pull-out model, ensuring individualized attention and support.

• Delivering specialized instruction tailored to 5th-grade students with behavioral and emotional disabilities
• Collaborating with general education teachers to implement push-in and pull-out support strategies
• Managing and adapting educational materials to meet diverse learner needs
• Maintaining documentation on student progress and behavior
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to IEP development and implementation

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification
• Ideally, candidates will have at least two years of experience in special education
• Instructional I or II PA K-12 Special Education certification is highly preferred
