Basic X-Ray Machine Operator Urgent Care

Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of the Providers, the Medical Assistant cares for patients and performs a wide variety of patient care activities, including laboratory testing and radiographic exams.

• Cares for patients and performs a wide variety of patient care activities, including laboratory testing and radiographic exams.
• Acts as a liaison between the patient and the healthcare team, ensuring that the patient's needs are met and that the patient is treated with respect and dignity.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that the patient receives high-quality care.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that the patient receives the best possible care.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Provides emotional support and reassurance to patients and families, addressing their concerns and fears in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of medical assisting experience or completed externship
• Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) - License
• Licensed Paramedic (PARA)
• American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
• OR American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR National Association for Healthcare Professionals-Medical Asst (NRCMA)
• OR National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCMA)
• OR National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
