About the role
Responsible for providing close surveillance of EKG monitors and communicating rhythm status to nurses. This position ensures accurate monitoring and timely reporting of any changes in patient rhythms. This role adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting body standards. In addition, this position actively participates in providing outstanding customer service. Additionally, this role maintains respectful relationships with all individuals. Responsibilities for this role include monitoring EKGs, reporting rhythm changes, adhering to regulations, providing customer service, and maintaining respectful relationships.
The value you'll bring to the team: Documents in accordance with department policy and maintain telemetry logbook. Observes monitors, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG patterns, and promptly notify nursing staff of any abnormalities. Maintains monitor alarms per policy, verifies that alarms are set and audible every shift, and troubleshoots monitors as needed. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv Preferred Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
