About the role

The Program Management Lead is a senior professional responsible for managing large programs from initiation through delivery. The role involves planning, coordination, and oversight of day-to-day program activities, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily activities for assigned programs or portfolios.
  • Apply analytical thinking and structured problem-solving to define scope, break down issues, and develop practical solutions across different business areas.
  • Ensure program plans, charters, and execution plans meet business needs.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and while ensuring they understand scope, timelines, and milestones.
  • Work with program sponsors to confirm that business cases that align with objectives.
  • Ensure teams are properly staffed and resources committed.
  • Escalate risks to the Program Director or Sponsor as needed; maintain risk management plans.
  • Works with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close program contracts.
  • Recommend training and development for assigned staff.
  • Review team performance and make recommendations for promotions, pay, or other personnel actions.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Ensure required procedures are followed and standards met.
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and address control issues transparently.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in consulting, transformation, or program management in large organizations.
  • Required Licensing/Registration: Series 6
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply them in different business contexts.
  • Team player with an enthusiastic approach to tackling challenges.
  • Preferred experience managing different types of programs and adapting to varied projects across businesses.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Ability to handle both business analysis and project management responsibilities seamlessly.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Negotiation skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, and ability to create stories using narratives
  • Data analysis utilizing data visualization tool is a plus.
  • Credit risk or other risk stripes experience is a plus.
