About the role
Provide specialized care for surgical patients in the immediate postoperative period as a registered nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical status closely during the immediate postoperative phase
- Utilize medical knowledge and technological equipment effectively to assess and intervene as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication regarding patient progress
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in PACU or similar acute care setting
