Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral support services to BHHA clients who participate in the State Operated Living Alternative (SOLA) Program
- Collect behavioral and other relevant data for inclusion in functional behavior assessments of clients
- Implement strategies for clients to decrease aggressive, destructive, and inappropriate behaviors that compromise their ability to remain in the community
- Provide support directly to clients
- Identify barriers to successful transition or participants into their home or during moves to another home
- Coordinate as needed with mental health experts and other professionals
- Evaluate the effectiveness of consultation and technical assistance provided through follow up activities
Requirements
- A master’s degree in psychology from an accredited school or department of psychology and one year of relevant experience in designing and/or implementing comprehensive behavioral therapies for individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behavior
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field and 3 years of relevant experience in designing and/or implementing comprehensive behavior therapies for individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behavior
