Stepdown Registered Nurse | Oakland, California

This position focuses on providing expert nursing care in a stepdown unit, where patient acuity requires specialized assessment and coordination. The role involves direct patient care, education for patients and families, and managing smooth transitions throughout the acute care process.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Coordinate patient care and transitions within the acute care setting
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Maintain clear and effective communication with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float between hospital campuses as needed to meet patient census demands

• Current California RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of documented stepdown nursing experience
