Billing Director Remote

Responsible for administrative guidance, planning, development support, and direction of compliant hospital billing operations across all hospital facilities. Facilitates implementation of revenue cycle best practices in hospital billing and billing compliance.

• Responsible for administrative guidance, planning, development support, and direction of compliant hospital billing operations across all hospital facilities.
• Facilitates implementation of revenue cycle best practices in hospital billing and billing compliance.
• Serves as primary contact for consultation on best practices and compliant billing.
• Manages hardware and software implementations and upgrades to core billing systems.
• Monitors usage and performance of claim scrubber software.
• Communicates with claim scrubber provider to ensure system optimization.
• Stays current on Federal regulations impacting billing policies and procedures.
• Ensures Patient Financial Services Directors are aware of regulatory changes.
• Participates in design, implementation, training, testing, and maintenance of the legacy billing system.
• Identifies revenue cycle inefficiencies and recommends solutions.
• Participates in due diligence activities for purchasing billing and compliance tools and services.
• Communicates consistently with Patient Financial Services Directors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Master's Preferred
• 3+ Work Experience Required
• Strong computer skills, including competency in the core Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to quickly learn new hardware and software applications, including legacy/core patient accounting systems.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and to work with minimal supervision/oversight
• Competency in Cerner Patient Accounting and SSI Claim submission software a plus
