Special Ed Teacher

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students with mild to moderate disabilities in Steamboat Springs, CO. The role involves working with approximately seven students on the caseload, focusing on those with significant support needs, including cognitive impairments and other disabilities. Employment is on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY).

• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate effectively with related services staff to ensure comprehensive support
• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with cognitive impairments and various disabilities
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to meet educational goals

• Valid Colorado Department of Education License in Special Education Generalist is required
• Experience working with K-12 students in a Mild-Moderate special education setting
• Ability to design and implement IEPs and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
