• Plan, schedule, direct, and support the 520 Floating Bridge crew in safely conducting inspections, preventative maintenance and perform repairs
• Perform Journey-level bridge maintenance and repair work, including tasks involving both structural and non-structural elements
• Perform routine and preventive work, including anchor cable adjustments, routine and post-event bridge inspections, expansion joint repairs, bridge rail, hatches, catwalks. steel and other bridge element maintenance
• Fabricate steel and aluminum components using proper tools and techniques depending on the task
• Keep employees and managers informed of emergencies and current issues and coordinate with various teams for specialized tasks
• Develop and communicate safe traffic control plans in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Control Devices (MUTCD) and M54-44
• Lead crew in the Safe operation of all equipment and tools and implement effective traffic control planning
• Collaborate with internal and external partners while supporting continuous training, communication, and reporting responsibilities
• Operate and work around all types of power and hand tools, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) trucks up to 80,000 pounds, bucket trucks, cranes, Under Bridge Inspection Truck (UBIT), and work boats
