About the role
Join AWS as a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to architect and lead the development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware. Drive innovation in complex PCBA designs utilizing cutting-edge FPGA SoCs, working with world-class engineers in our dedicated product development lab in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware
- Drive innovation in complex PCBA designs utilizing cutting-edge FPGA SoCs
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers
- Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits
- Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements
- Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements
- Lead design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams
- Mentor junior engineers and establish hardware engineering best practices
Requirements
- 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with prototyping and implementation
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
