About the role

The Sanctions Analyst performs investigations of data based on the information provided in Sanctions Screening application. Sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) screening of potential match review. Adjudicating potential matches. Documenting the rationale for the potential match resolution Reason codes pertaining to the potential match. Alert Regional Sanctions Processing Leads of any system anomalies, deficiencies and/or backlogs. Ability to work in a matrix organization. Sanctions compliance knowledge. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel skills. Microsoft Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) skills. Coordinate requests for exemptions from the screening requirements. Participate in periodic training sessions. Meet the Quality Assurance requirements and SLAs to support the business and Corporate Function.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years in a similar role in Banking/Financial/Insurance industry
  • Computer literate and a proficient user of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Proficient in English – reading, writing and speaking
  • Ability & flexibility to work in a non-standardized environment with occasional variables
  • A self-motivated team player with ability to take initiative
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline and SLA requirements
  • Able to work night shift (rotation shift)
